Can you restore deleted history?
Once you delete your Firefox history, it's gone and cannot be restored directly.
There are no built-in features to undelete it.
Here's why and what you can do:
No Direct Undelete: Firefox does not have a "trash" or "undelete" function for browsing history.
History Storage: Firefox stores browsing history in a database file named places.sqlite.
No Backup: Firefox does not automatically create backups of deleted history.
System Restore: You might be able to restore a previous version of the places.sqlite file using Windows System Restore points, but this is not guaranteed.
Third-Party Software: Some third-party software claims to recover deleted history, but their effectiveness is questionable and may not be safe.
DNS Cache: You can try using the DNS cache to potentially recover some information, but this only works if the computer hasn't been restarted since the history was deleted.
Session Restore: If you accidentally closed Firefox and want to restore your previous session, you can try to restore the previous session from the Firefox menu (History > Restore Previous Session).
Session Backups: Firefox automatically creates session backups in the sessionstore-backups folder. You can try to find a backup and rename it to sessionstore.jsonlz4 to restore your session.
Profile Manager: If you suspect you have lost your session after a crash and switched to a new profile, you can launch Firefox in a terminal with "firefox --ProfileManager" and restore an old profile
